Flax seed Oil Side Effects
Flax seed oil is obtained from the flax plant which is an annual herb. It seed is brown in color and on crushing yields the oil which is known to be very beneficial. but at the same time it has few side effects too.
The flax seed oil is obtained from the seeds of linseed. These seeds of linseed carry the richest sources of omega 3 fatty acids, ligan and fiber.
They are known to be the best remedy for treating inflammation, cardiac problems etc. They are very good medicinal cure but they also have side effects.
Side Effects Of Flax seed Oil:
Flax seed oil is known for its medicinal value but if doses increases then it can result in side effects too. For instance:
- Increased amount of flax seed oil can result in gas and indigestion of the food.
- Bloating can also be there if the dose of flax seed increases.
- Some allergic reactions will be noticed on the skin like hive formation, itching, rash swelling etc. can be there on the skin.
- Difficulty in breathing and swallowing can also be noticed.
- The oil of flax seed has alpha linolenic acid which can result in prostrate cancer.
- Flax seed oil should not be given to the infants and children without consulting Pediatrician.
- Never apply this oil on your eyes, open sores or wounds.
- Excess of this oil can upset your stomach and can even cause diarrhea.
- Never use this oil after heating or cooking it. This is because at high temperatures the alpha linolenic acid found in it turns into benzene’s which can result in cancer formations.
