To find out the best and comfortable city for soloists, the urbanized areas in America were ranked under 7 different categories which are as follows:

The number of singles residing in a particular city was based on the percentage of never-married singles above the age of 15 years. In order to determine coolness of a city Forbes in collaboration with Harris Interactive conducted a poll. The question for the poll was: “Among the following U.S. Cities, which one do you think is the coolest?” To rank a city for its nightlife they used the number of nightclubs per capita.

On the basis of ranking in all 7 categories, Atlanta grabbed the 1st place for this year. Here is a list of top 20 U.S. Cities comfortable for singles:

The main aim of Forbes behind this ranking was to present a clear picture of cities for ambitious, young singles. The whole methodology implemented for ranking cities was focused on career oriented and never married singles under the age group of 35 years.
