You Are Born With Your Views, They Are In The Genes

One does not cultivate views, but they are in the genes. You cannot thrust views upon others or try to change them as people are born with them. Like you have brown eyes, similarly you have set views. They are linked with your DNA, according to U.S. scientists.

Our views are deep-seated and are an integral part of our brain. We cannot persuade a person to think in a particular way. He or she already has set views. Dr. John Alford of Rice University observed the political views of 30,000 twins. He came to the conclusion that identical twins gave similar answers as compared to non-identical twins. Dr. John Host, a psychologist at New York University observed that those who were afraid of death were conservative.

Dogmatic people were conservative whereas liberals enjoyed new experiences. Dr. Host also observed that xenophobic (those afraid of the strange or abnormal fear of them or anything foreign) are generally associated with Right-wing of politics.

One need not get worked up about people not paying attention to their viewpoint. One must realize that they hold pre-determined views. Genes play am important role in determining one’s characteristics. Personality traits are genetically ordained. A person’s likes and dislikes are in his or her genes. Whether it is politics, nuclear war or politics, a person are firmly grounded genetically.

Next time you have an argument with someone, remember he is entitled to his views, as he or she cannot do away with them. After all views are decided by genes!
