Home Made Shampoos for Different Kinds of Hair

Presently, there are several hair products available in the market that actually claims to contain healthy herbs or some mild ingredients. Herbal shampoos and home made shampoos are enough effective in cleaning your hair gently and adding bounce and shine.

Often it is seen that the market products don’t contain what the companies actually claim, so it’s better to have a home made shampoo that can be more beneficial for your hair also. By this way, at least you can ensure that your hair is getting it actual nutrients.

Few Recipes of Home Made Shampoos

 Basically, the types of herbs, you are going to put in your homemade shampoo , depends on your hair type. If your hair is of normal type, then you can add any kind of herbs you want. On the contrary, If your hair is of oily type, you need to use dried Nettle leaves, Peppermint or Spearmint, Sage, Burdock, Rosemary, Tea Tree, or Lemongrass.

Home Made Shampoos for Oily Hairs

  • The best is to wash your hair with ‘Shikakai’ powder and grinded fenugreek powder in 1: 0.25 ratios. After mixing these ingredients, add the white of an egg to the mixture.
  • Another home made shampoo is prepared by mixing Dry soap nuts (Reetha) and Shikakai. Soak dry soap nuts overnight, smash them n the morning and filter that. Now add some add Shikakai powder in it, mix it well and wash your hair with that.
  • You can make a paste of ‘Mehendi’ powder and curds and apply on the hair. Let it dry for about thirty minutes and then wash the hairs. It is a good conditioner for oily hair.

Home Made Shampoos for Dry hair

  • For fry hair you need to mix shikakai with coconut milk. Take a cup of coconut milk and four tea-spoonful of shikakai and mix them well. Apply the paste on hair, massage the hair and scalp and leave the mixture to dry for five to ten minutes. Now rinse it thoroughly.
  • Glycerin is a good oily substance. Mix one tea-spoonful of it with some good shampoo available in the market. Now add one tea-spoonful each o castor oil and vinegar. Apply this mixture on you dry hair and then leave it for drying for around 15-20 minutes before rinsing with fresh water.
  • There are some ‘henna conditioners’ available in he market. They are useful for both dry and oily hair. You can make one at home. One table-spoonful of powder ‘mehendi’, one table-spoonful of ‘amla’ powder, one table-spoonful of ‘brahmi’ or coconut oil and six table-spoonful of luke warm milk. Make a paste of all these ingredients. Apply this paste and leave it for 30 minutes and then wash the hair.

Preparation of Good Conditioner for both Oily & Dry Hair

  • ‘Amla’ oil. Glycerin, castor oil, vinegar, white of egg and a mild shampoo; all of these ingredients are to be mixed in one tablespoon quantity. Massage the mixture for five minutes and then, rinse the hair with fresh water. This is a good conditioner both for any type of hair.
