Teenage Pregnancies Pose Threat to Human Existence

According to a report, made by World Health Organization (WHO), unwanted and inopportune teenage pregnancies are contributing more and more to the untenable growth of world population.

Let’s See What Researchers Say

John Gillebaud, the leading scholar on reproductive health, birth control and population issues, opined that unwanted pregnancies, caused by the unprotected sex are the largest threat to mankind.

“Every single week a new city of 1.7 million could be created, and the current global population growth is unsustainable,” he said. “Each year, there are around 80 million unwanted pregnancies and 30 million of these are aborted,” he said.

The report deduces an inconvenient and unfortunate truth, that is, our world is by now overpopulated which is going to cause shortages of food and fresh water. He also said that the reckless intake of alcohol is one of the major causes of unwanted teenage pregnancies.

It has already been proved that binge drinking is the first and foremost reason behind these unwanted pregnancies at least among the teens in Australia.

To control this binge drinking among the teenagers, several initiatives have been taken to make the teenagers aware of the terrible consequences of binge drinking often followed by unwanted pregnancies.
