Here is a special bottle, lifesaver bottle, which is claimed to turn dirty or foul smelling water into drinkable water… that too…in just few seconds. This special bottle is an invention of an Ipswitch-based businessman, Michael Pritchard. The idea that made him to come out with this Lifesaver Bottle is his wish to provide fresh water to the people of disaster-hit regions.

Mr. Pritchard got the idea of developing a lifesaver bottle after watching the video coverage of the tsunami in South-East Asia region in December 2004. He has seen the refugees waiting for days to get fresh water. This made him design the lifesaver bottle, which can save the lives of millions of disaster-affected people.

Mr. Michael Pritchard made a presentation of this bottle at the DESI defense show in London. On the presentation day itself an entire 1,000 stock of his “life saver” bottles were sold out. This businessman fixed the price of the bottle at a reasonable amount of £190.

This bottle is of great use for the military, because it can easily convert 4,000 to 6,000 liters of dirty water into drinkable without any need to change the filter. This is mainly because soldiers at the battlefield till now have depended on iodine-flavored water for their water needs. But now with this lifesaver bottle, they can get fresh water… that is of high quality.
