Harmful Products in Toothpaste!

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of America has put an import ban on toothpastes from China. Reason – Harmful Ingredients!

All food and drug have a chance to be poisoned (without intention), and the chances with toothpaste is more.

So before you buy your tooth paste, make sure you look into the ingredients and find that the following aren’t used:

Diethylene Glycol: Diethylene Glycol (or DEG) is generally used in antifreeze and as a solvent and it is used as a low substitute for glycerin and as a thickener. And it could affect people suffering disorders of Liver and Kidney!

FDA has already banned toothpastes containing these, but if you find them in your toothpaste, it is much better you avoid it.

Sodium Laureth Sulphate (or SLS): It gives out foam and that is exactly a reason why, it could be used in Toothpaste. Though the issue has not been confirmed yet, SLS is for sure is used as a “Standard Dermatological Irritant”. However, FDA only encourages not to use this product in foods and other products! So be careful…
