How does Ayurveda Help?
Ayurveda, the oldest medicine system of the World, is slowly gaining popularity because of the world seems to shrink in distance. which has its roots in India. ‘Ayur’ means Life and ‘Veda’ means Principles.
Giving a complete and yet healthy life to people is the basic tenet of Ayurveda. No wonder, instead of treating a symptom, Ayurveda treats the cause.
For example: A pain in a hand or in a leg can be because of a long lasting problem surfacing by a sport you played. Modern allopath treats it as a result of a sprain. But Ayurveda looks at it as a whole and finds the actual Cause.
Ayurvedic Analysis:
Because using Ayurvedic terms can make you confused, lets only concentrate on how Ayurveda Analyses an ailment:
1.Your Diet: Yes you are what you eat, and this exactly what Ayurveda believes.
2. Your Routine: Our routine tells us how well we digest what we eat and how we act. It also tells whether we start off our day, what kind of things we like to do, what kind of things we do even though we don’t like them etc.
Our routine simply gives out what our routine stress factors are, the kind of lifestyle we have. But more importantly it tells how our body is facing the consequences of such a lifestyle. Ayurveda makes count of all the above.
A right ayurvedic is a person who can frame questions around these two important factors of your life, and then come to your major concern. So, don’t be surprised if an ayurvedic asks you about your diet and routine even before he asked you about your actual problem.
In the larger context Ayurveda tries to stay true to its meaning – “Principles of Life”.
