Why is Breakfast Necessary?

Though having food at regular intervals is advised, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You need to start off your day with lots of energy, and breakfast gives you exactly that.

Why does one need Breakfast:

1. One reason why we need breakfast is because your body needs regular Food! And if you have been sleeping for 6 hours that means, you haven’t had food for that much time. Add to that, the time you take to wakeup, prepare your breakfast. Doesn’t your body need some rejuvenation?

And if you are wondering if it just sleep, well, for every hour of sleep, body uses 90 calories of energy. And for a session of about 6 hours that is more than 500 calories. That is almost 1/5th of the energy spent, if you are having a healthy lifestyle!

2. Brain function is completely dependent on how well you supply glucose to it! And with lesser supply of food, that means lesser glucose. If you take more than 8 hours  break between mails, your brain isn’t give enough food from inside.

That is the reason why many people start feeling lazy (and even dizzy) after few days of skipping meals. If people are running short or money they should rather have a small lunch rather than, skip healthy breakfast.

And be careful of these myths about breakfast:

  • Breakfast makes you lazy in the morning – Breakfast makes you energized
  • Breakfast increases weight – Breakfast doesn’t increase weight, it is eating more fat, and not giving proper exercise to the body that increases weight.
