Exercise – for Quick Weight Loss!!!
“Ten minutes of exercise everyday can help even the most inactive overweight women lose weight”, say US researchers.
A recent research study conducted on overweight women who had high blood pressure proved that even little exercise could improve their fitness and lower their risk of early death.
The US researchers recommend at least a half hour moderate exercise on most days of a week. This helps in reducing the risk of heart disease, stroke and cancer.
They studied 427 overweight women who had an average age of 57 and also having high or borderline high BP. They were randomly asked to continue their normal lives or to exercise 75 min, 135 min or 190 min a week. The women used treadmills and rode stationary cycles for their exercise.
After six months, the women who did not exercise had not lost any weight on average and their blood pressure also not changed. But all the women who exercised got better fitness, according to measurements of oxygen intake when they exercised. And their waists also became smaller, which indicates that the risk of early death decreased.
Moderate levels of physical activity like working around the house and yard, swimming, sports or brisk walking everyday can be of great help in controlling weight and associated health risks.
So, make exercise part of your daily routine to stay healthy lifelong.
