  2. If you have a younger brother or sister, tell your parents that cleaning of a child’s teeth should begin when the first tooth starts appearing.
  3. Brush your teeth for at least 2 minutes. Do not restrict your brushing only to the front portion of your teeth. Spread it over the sides and back.
  4. Replace your toothbrush every three months.
  5. Use brush with soft bristles.
  6. Floss your tooth between each tooth and along the gum lines.
  7. Regularly check for cavities.
  8. Use only very little toothpaste to brush your teeth.
  9. Visit a dentist every six months. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends bringing children to the dentist before their first birthday.
  10. If there is sugar content left inside your mouth, it can attract bacteria and can cause holes called cavities in your teeth. So do not forget to gargle every time you have chocolates and other sweets.
