Home Remedies for Acne
Acne is the inflammation of skin that results due to overproduction of sebum. Skin pores become clogged resulting in bacterial growth. Dirt left on your skin also causes bacterial infection that can lead to acne breakouts. Acne is caused due to stressful lifestyle, unhygienic living habits and consumption of tobacco, alcohol, pickles, candies, ice creams and soft drinks.
- Dehydration is an important factor that can cause acne. So drink plenty of water.
- Pound orange skin in water and apply on the affected area.
- Applying cucumber leaves can also give relief.
- Lack of sleep and exercise can aggravate acne.
- Wash your skin once or twice a day with a mild soap. Washing your face with warm water would help.
- For oily skin use soap that contains benzoyl peroxide.
- Apply fenugreek paste on your skin and wash it off after 15 minutes.
- Mix mint leaves/ neem leaves and turmeric powder and apply on the affected area.
- Before going to bed, apply lemon juice on the affected area and wash it off the next morning.
- Apply cucumber paste on your skin. Leave it for half an hour and wash it.
- Leave egg white on your skin for half an hour and wash it off.
- Intake of niacin, vitamin A and vitamin E is helpful in treating acne.
- Rubbing garlic helps in clearing the skin of pimples, spots and boils.
Avoid touching the affected area in your skin. Do not let your hair come before your face. Also avoid poking at the pimples.
