Shopping While on a Diet…

It’s a common scene in every super- market: a parent trying to keep her kid from putting half the store’s stock of sugar in the cart. It’s not the case just with kids, it’s with everyone. When someone starts eating healthier, cravings are a strong obstacle in meeting their diet goals.
Here we give you some tips to keep your cravings in line:
- Chew sugarless gum to distract your cravings and soothe a sweet tooth.
- Find healthier favorites. Put healthy foods in your cart that you and your taste buds really love. If your kids ask about the chips and cookies they saw two aisles ago, you could make them eat the favorite fruit or popcorn you brought home.
- Stay away from shopping when you’re hungry or stressed. Shop once or twice a week to keep your eating temptations to a minimum.
- Avoid the habit of carrying junk food to home.
- Use bribery technique. Tell yourself that if you do workouts and stick to healthy meal plans that week you will reward yourself with a candy bar or something you like.
