Sleep Well Tips for Teens!

Sleep deprivation is the most common problem among teenagers today. Health experts suggest some simple changes to get a better sleep.

The first and best change to make is – take televisions and computers out of teens’ bedrooms. Maintain a strict turn-off time. Listening to music at low volume at night time help a lot to get a soothing sleep. Also, don’t forget to switch of the lights.

Here are more tips for a healthy sleep.

  • Take off the clutter from your teens’ bedrooms.
  • Paint walls with calm colors, such as soft blues and greens, light yellow, tan, or peach.
  • Take early dinners. If you take big meals close to bedtime, digestive processes may keep you awake.
  • Ask your teen shower at night before going to bed to get a healthy sleep.
  • Set next day dressing out in the evening, which helps you get a few more minutes of sleep in the morning.
  • Make sure your teenager does more exercise and play sport, if she is not doing.
  • Limit caffeinated drinks

Even after following the above tips, if your teen is not getting healthy sleep then consult a physician. Nowadays many advanced techniques like light therapy and melatonin pills are available to help your teen.
