Your elbows and knees are the most neglected parts of your body. You have rougher and drier skin on your elbows and knees because they are subjected to a lot of abuse, leaning and kneeling day after day, and there’s a lot of built-up dead cells and dirt.

Here’s an at-home spa to treat your dry elbows and knees:

Step 1. Take a bath in warm water. Let the water soften your knees and elbows. Then cleanse this area with a mild soap and pat dry.

Step 2. Now take a mild body scrub or a sponge to lightly buff away the layers of dead cells. Then rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry again.

Step 3. Take a lemon and squeeze the juice into a small cup. Then take some cotton balls and soak them in the lemon juice. Place the cotton balls on your knees and rub for sometime. Then rinse with water and pat dry.

Step 4. Take another lemon and cut it into half. Place your elbows in the lemon halves for 10 minutes. This will soften and gently bleach the discolored skin. Rinse with water and pat dry.

Step 5. Now apply a good moisturiser on your knees and elbows. Always remember to apply moisturiser after every bath and during the day.

Step 6. Apply petroleum jelly to your knees and elbows before sleeping and wash off in the morning.
