How To Get Great Looking Skin ???
New Year is just round the corner and people must have already started planning their new year resolutions. But why not have a resolution for a better skin in the coming year. Say good bye to acne, wrinkles and tired skin with these simple tips that you can follow everyday:
1. Eat Right. You are what you eat. Good nutrition is vital for a glowing skin. Eat more fruits and veggies. Eating the right food will ensure that the nutrients are supplied to the body and this will reflect on your hair and skin.
2. Drink lots of water. Water is essential for flushing out the toxins from your body and boosting your metabolism. Drink atleast 2 litres of water everyday. And if you drink coffee or wine, drink several glasses of water to prevent dehydration. Cut down on smoking as this causes premature ageing of the skin.
3. Wear sunscreen throughout the year, and not just in summer. 80 percent of the signs of ageing – fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and sagging are caused by the sun’s rays. Choose a sunscreen or sunblock cream with an SPF of 20 for normal wear and an SPF of 30 or 45 for beach wear.
4. Invest in a good eye cream: The skin around the eyes is thinner and more sensitive. It is more vulnerable to premature ageing, so buy a good eye cream that you can apply daily at night.
5. Follow a good skin care regime everyday, that includes cleansing, toning and moisturising. Exfoliate your skin twice or thrice in a week and get a facial done every month. Also get a manicure and pedicure done regularly, to pamper your skin.
6. Never sleep with your makeup on. Wash away all the makeup and grime before going to sleep each night. This will prevent blackheads, breakouts, clogged pores and dull skin.
7. Use good quality products on your face. Never experiment with cheap off-the-shelf cosmetics on the face. There will be more breakouts and rashes on your skin. Use good quality products that suit your skin and do not change your products often.
8. Throw away very old cosmetics. Do not use the same eye-makeup for more than 3 months. Discard any leftover product and change makeup-sponges and lipstick brushes every 2 months.
9. Get a good sleep of 8 hours every night. Or else you will get dark circles around the eyes and look dull all day.
10. Exercise everyday for atleast half an hour. Exercise keeps your body fit and your skin glows with health.
