Resist ‘Temptations’ this Holiday Season!

wine-and-food.jpgThanks to Thanksgiving Day, I just realized how people with ‘bad stomach’ face tough time. Not that they should avoid Turkey or those sweets, but just that these heavy foods are so ruthless on the body.

And the fact that ‘Holiday’ is just another month from now, makes it more important that we take care of our health, especially diet. After all how good is a holiday spent on getting well?

So here is doctors suggest, especially about food:

Cover Yourself Well: They say it is getting cooler by the day. So cover yourself well, and check if those ‘house heaters’ are in working conditions. Venture out only after you know you are covered well.

Avoid too much Food: The foods will all be made more attractive, more tempting and tastier as well. So put a check on your temptations. No one is asking not to eat, but when you eat, keep a check. Too much of grease in your stomach will not help digestion and the fact that you will jump and dance after a full meal will only add to your stomach woes.

Wine : Ah! What’s a festival without wine, and that too when it is so cold outside. If you feel like, have a peg near the fire place, or out in the sun. But don’t dare take more than two-three pegs. More wine, means more heart burn.

Small temptations cost great fun, and more so during holidays. Check what you are up to and don’t tell me you didn’t know.
