Winter Blooms on Window Sills
Winter is a beautiful time to sit in the warmth of the home and watch the snowy outside from the windows. And having your windows filled with wonderful blooms will only add to the beauty. Find here some plants that will add to the beauty of your winter.
1. Christmas Cactus: Before the holiday fever gets in try and have a Christmas Flower. Of course you need to have centrally-heated homes for this plant which needs eight hours of light and remaining hours of darkness. As most people think, the plant is not expensive.
2. Rose: Rose is good only when placed in a window that gets lot of sun. Otherwise, it is better to keep your rose plant outside. But if you have a sunny window, then buy a new rose plant, which is cheap anywhere in the world. Plant it daily and allow sun, you will find a rose is going to be the better than many exotic flowers around your home
3. Orchids: The Victorian beauty adds luxury, wherever it is. And if it is in your home, then Orchid is a real beauty. Cattleya, also known as Queen of Orchids, is a two or three leaf stunner with wonderful flowers. Make sure they get good water and light, just like rose. Too much wanter can kill them.
4. Poinsettias: Originating in Mexico, this red flowering plant adds sensuality to your winter. Poinsettias need light shade and slow watering. However not growing poinsettias with popular care is as good as killing them.
