Heavy Smoking Reduces A Woman’s Fertility
If you want to get pregnant then stop smoking. According to a new research study, heavy smoking directly affects the uterus and reduces a woman’s fertility.
Though earlier many research studies have proved the negative effects of smoking on pregnancy, this is the first study to show that smoking damages the lining of the uterus and makes it less receptive. This reduces the chances of implant of an embryo in the wall of the womb.
This research study has found that heavy smokers have less chance of getting pregnant. Though they become pregnant, the multiple pregnancy rate will be higher.
Heavy smoking negatively affects the stability of cells in the lining of the uterus. It happens differently in some women. It also triggers a response in the embryo itself.
This could result in a reduced general pregnancy rate overall, but an increased chance of multiple pregnancy in those who do become pregnant.
Heavy smokers have less chance of achieving a successful pregnancy even if fertilization takes place. It will be the case even if they are trying to conceive naturally or through IVF.
