All of us are touchy about things associated with traditions and customs, wedding is just one of them. Even if you are a very practical kind of a person who laughs at people who are superstitious, you might unknowingly just touch wood when you are with your friends.

The common Superstition attached to wedding is that you cannot see your fiance(e) on the morning of the wedding. All of us at some point wonder where these supestitions come from?

Actually, a few of these are traced back to Roman & Anglo Saxon times, while some are attributed to Victorian rhymes and folklore that has been passed on through the oral culture for countless generations.

Many of these Superstitions are said to bring good luck and fertility to the happily wedded couple.There are many traditions and Superstitions associated with Weddings and is almost impossible to follow them all. One of the most common tradition is the tying of old shoes to the back of the newly wed Couple’s car. Another interesting superstition in the Anglo Saxon times is that the Bride was symbolically struck with a shoe by her Groom to establish his authority over her.
